I believe this is ony one zone background but because you wrote cut to zone 2 firs your character is spoted in zone 2 than you cut to zone 1 and spott character so this one is in zone 1
Because it is one zone background you dont need none of the cut command so delete them.
Also using basic directing doesnt work well wit this background because the characters are too small comparing to che charir so spot directing will work better here.
And another thing if you use background with table overlay as this one you actually do not need to use sit animation you can use any animation because you will not see their lower body anyway.
