How do this overlay in a simple way?

I need to use the DESK CLASS overlay on the INT. CLASSROOM DESK - DAY background… for a classroom scene that will be used in future chapters!

(Background) with (overlay)

thats what i was looking for lol I just gotta figure out have to get my characters sitting behind it now.

Usually the characters are behind the overlay.

Example:

INT. CLASSROOM DESK - DAY with DESK CLASS
@CHARACTER 1 stands screen left AND CHARACTER 1 faces right
@CHARACTER 2 stands screen right AND CHARACTER 2 faces right

Okay. Whatever you named your character make sure you put that name in.
