How do you begin your story, how do you know where to start?

Hi, I’m new to the EpyCommunity! I want to learn how to write a story on Episode but I’m not sure how to start. I’ve thought about characters and where the story might take place but, I’m not sure how I would write it in the script. I was wondering if maybe I could hear some ideas on how you plan out your story, and what inspired you to write. This will help me a lot with my creativity flow! Thanks so much to anyone who replys!

I usually start with a cold open on the plot, even if I’m going to include character customization.

I really like a creative approach to CC, and I try to add it in as naturally as possible. In one of my unpublished stories, the unseen MC slides their ID card to a bank guard across the table, then the camera zooms into the ID picture (an overlay with a duplicate character standing behind it), and character customization starts from there. After zooming out, the MC changes into the duplicate from the ID with “MC becomes DUPE,” and your character is revealed already standing in the scene as if they’ve been there the whole time.

Usually I write on google docs but if you prefer in a Nb or looseleaf, and I just plan it out.

Outline:

Character Name:
Personality
A couple of bullet points.
Back story
One or more bullets.

And basically if the characters are opposite find a reason why they would meet or talk. Also I would suggest that you make the characters first, sort out the personalities and watch some tutorials or simply just test and experiment with some of the commands.
