I dont know if you understand the title but I am new and I dont know what to do about the gender. Like when the audience picks what gender their love interest is what do i do to continue with that gender. Do i need to add the story a second time with the female as the love interest? Or the same with the male? This might be confusing but like say, oh i pick a boy for a love interest do i need to make a script with the boy as the interest then again for the female interest? Like do I need a label or I dont know? I need some thoughts.
Some people can go more into detail about that stuff but as far as I know, you have to code it with a choice.
In your choice, when they pick the interest they want, under the choice you put something like @Char stands screen center or a specific spot just to show them if they pick a gril/boy, what they would look like, and you also have to flag it.
Keep in mind, ive never done a choice like this so I may be wrong.
You make two separate branches, or use goto and label. Like this:
NARRATOR
I prefer to date:
choice
“Guys” {
#stuff here
} "Girls {
#stuff here
}
It’s honestly your choice
Whatever works for you
You need two seperate branches one for female LI and one for Male LI so I would write out for one gender then copy the same to the other but tweaking dialog slightly to suit that LI personality.
Ok, real quick. How do you go to a black background to the characters already in the room without making them enter the room from the left or right?
INT. BLACK - DAY
@CHARACTER1 stands screen left AND CHARACTER1 faces right
@CHARACTER2 stands screen right AND CHARACTER2 faces left
You can change position according to your needs using spot directing.
You can add as many characters you want.
I hope it will help you.
