Hello so, I am trying to make backgrounds. But 1) I need to be thought how to do it on my program(Ibis Paint X).
2) I want to have glass and I don’t know how to do so.
Soo… you’re wondering how to paint glass??
You should turn the opacity down first of!
It’s tricky to explain! Depends if there are any reflections?!
I am. I don’t know to draw/make it for a window or door for example.
Maybe but I don’t use Photoshop.
Well, the idea is still there!
What I do is just paint a base color
And then alpha lock it, and paint lighter wide stripes over, maybe some dark ones - if that makes sense!
Okay thanks, Screw. I’ll try that out.
No problem! Let me know how it goes!
Will do!
Example of glass like a window of how I do it:
- Use a transparent background
- Use a light blue color and paint a rectangle
- Change the opacity down to make it have a see-through effect
- With a new layer on top, a lighter color (ex: white) draw lines to make it look reflective (you may blend the white out with blurr effect to make it less cartoony
- Change the opacity down to your liking
It looks a bid smudgy! Maybe make it more blue?
It could use some more visible white lines!
Id also try using a different blend mode for the glass layer!
Okay. I am so bad at this…
Do you want an example?
Sure.
I’ll do a step-by-step tomorrow!
Great! Thank you!
