How do you zoom and pan?

@zoom on 176 381 to 400% in 0

&pan to zone 1 in 1.5

@CHARACTER1 exits right in 1.5 AND CHARACTER1 starts talk_startled_neutral AND CHARACTER2 starts walk_neutral AND CHARACTER2 exits right in 1.5

I am trying to get the pan to start at that first spot zoomed in as my characters exit but it just zooms and doesn’t pan. Can anybody please correct my script? Thanks!

Is your scene already in zone 1?

I think so? I mean it is defaulted to that at least.

If your scene is already in zone 1, then the pan to zone 1 command will have no movement as you’re already in your desired zone.

Oh, I want to pan from one spot of zone one (where it is zoomed in) to the end of zone one. How is that done?

You will need to use the zoom command twice instead of the pan command.

Followed by:
&zoom on x y to % in 1.5
With your second set of coordinates substituted into that code (where you want it to zoom or “pan” to).

@zoom on 176 381 to 400% in 0

&pan to zone 1 in 1.5

@zoom on 176 381 to 400% in 0

@CHARACTER1 exits right in 1.5 AND CHARACTER1 starts talk_startled_neutral AND CHARACTER2 starts walk_neutral AND CHARACTER2 exits right in 1.5

Like that?

zooming would be :
@zoom on x y in #
panning would be :
@pan to zone # in #

This will not work because the coordinates are the exact same.

This need to have the coordinates of where you want your zoom to start.

This needs to have the coordinates of where you want your zoom to end. You should also replace “@” with “&” if you want the zoom to happen while the character is walking.

You don’t need this:

&zoom on ### *** to 400% in 6?

Yay it worked! One more thing, is there anyway that I can have them not grow smaller/bigger as they exit? One character is smaller than the other.

I’m glad it worked!
You will need to keep their scaling size the exact same in each “walks to” command that you use if you don’t want them to change their size. If you need more help with that, send me your script. (:

if you used spotdirecting( so they are different size than the defoult) you cant use commsns exits right but use walks to spot instead.

exits is bazic directing and it therefore again resets the exiting person to the defoult size
