I wouldn’t say its luck. You have to build up readers who really want to know what will happen next in your story. If they dont care, they won’t jump to see what happens each time you publish.
You could use some type of cliffhangers. The more chapters you have, the more chapters people have to read each time you publish.
My rank always starts to get better after 10 chapters or so.
