How does the read count works exactly? And how you retain the reads?

Good morning beautiful people! :coffee::sun_behind_small_cloud:

I’ve been battling with this for a while now trying to understand how this work, and it seems that I’m still have some doubts about this topic.

What I want to know is in concrete:
1 chapter = 1 read or
1 chapter = 3 reads or more

And how about the reader retention? If a person reads 1 chapter of your story, it’s the same if they read only one?

Can someone please provide me with some more information on this?

Thank you. :v::slight_smile:

one read per pass people use, the first chapter dont need a pass so that dont count as a read. so its first when people start chapter 2 you will get 1 read.

1 chapter read = 1 read

But since the first chapter doesn’t use tickets it does not count as a read.

Reader retation is how many readers you were able to keep and how many actually read your whole story instead of just reading a few chapters. So on here reader retation is more important than the number if reads.

Hope that makes sense

How do we see reader retention?

I don’t think we can. Episode says that there isn’t a way to check our reader retention at the moment (correct me if I’m wrong.)
