How is my art? Share your opinion

So, I have started learning art and well, this is my first artwork. I would like your opinion on how it is and what I need to improve, etc.
This is basically the artist who I referenced this art from,

This is the one I drew.

Wow it’s good for your first time! You’re a natural

One thing I would suggest though is to take out the brown eye outline, and use a semi-transparent pen to draw shadows (not like under, but directly on the eyes.) this kind of gives it a “depth” illusion

Please include the image you referenced and credit the artist for it too. It might be the reason for your post to be flagged

It’s not traced, it’s heavily referenced. That’s fine for a beginner tho, bc they’re still learning. But, if ur gonna share a heavily referenced art work, u might wanna credit the original artist. In future, use lots of references to create a final art piece, that’s what most artists do so their art doesn’t look traced/copied :white_heart:

Moved to Art Resources since this is art-related. Make sure to check out our Forum Tutorial for more info about creating topics, and feel free to PM me if you’ve got questions.

I’m no artist at all, but I recommend using finer brushes for more detailed parts of the appearance and maybe focus a little more on the tiny details :woman_shrugging: :woman_shrugging:

(ex: the girl has some blush and highlights around her nose, chin, fingers etc + very fine eyebrow hairs)

you only get better not worse, lots of potential here.

This is referenced And they clearly state that they are learning and its a portrait study. They have not profited financially from it. Private dm this person if you have an issue thanks😁

They claimed it that before she edited her post. It wasn’t referenced earlier; that’s why

Well you don’t have to be rude about it, I didn’t know or I would have done it by myself.
