i’m sorry for your friend who fell in love with their kidnapper… i hope they r alright now tho.
but please educate yourself before you come onto a thread like this and start saying things like that. kidnapping does not equal rape or sexual assault. they can be connected, but they are not the same thing. please. educate. yourself.
What you described at the end of your comment is actually Stockholm Syndrome, not love, and doesn’t lead to happy relationships. In the stories people are talking about here, the relationship is portrayed as perfectly acceptable, whereas in real life it would be inherently toxic. Romanticizing it is a huge slap in the face to people who have actually been through that sort of thing and can bring up serious reactions to the trauma. People have had panic attacks just from hearing about the story because reading it brought back horrific memories for them.
In addition, from a developmental psychology viewpoint, thirteen-year-olds are more impressionable than you give them credit for. They’re entering the stage in their life where they’re learning how interpersonal relationships work, and most of this learning occurs at a preconscious level. Fiction and media play a larger role in this learning than most people think, especially if nobody acknowledges and reminds them of how to be critical of it.
I do think this topic is kind of beating a dead horse, since Episode has made the fact that they’re not going to do anything extremely clear. However, I doubt the author of the stories in question will really read this enough to care, since she just blocks everyone who speaks out against her even in general terms anyway. Besides, we’re not speaking on her character. We’re speaking about the stories, which break most of Episode’s guidelines and glorify horrific acts on an app catered toward adolescents.
Yes she is. And please I do not agree with this Noob Loop girl but I’m just saying kids can handle to read about such things maybe they’ll learn something , what to do or what you shouldn’t
you do know Noob Loop’s stories aren’t saying “if you get raped, please contact an adult right away and don’t be scared, someone is there for you” they’re literally a girl getting raped then falling in love with her rapist?..
I haven’t read it but if that’s the case then I’m sorry.
But I still think people are overreacting and being mean because you don’t what noob lop may have been trough some serious shit
she has a story like “pregnant by my teacher” or something along those lines… there was another story with a very inappropriate cover i was literally like wOAH but just check her account and there’s a few stories that are inappropriate… not sure if there’s other stories of hers with rape that’s still on her account, but there’s still bad ones.
the one we were talking about is deleted, but the poster of this thread summarized it above.
I literally made a GOOGLE SLIDES PRESENTATION stating why her stories are problematic (I did this last year!).
I thought she’d be gone by now, ugh.
The sad part is, I remember when Mary Galvan’s “Enslaved” was banned - it didn’t deserve that, as Mary was genuinely trying to bring light to kidnap and rape, raise awareness, and she IS a human right’s activist. (Ofc Enslaved was brought back).
