I came here to make a joke about “we have this thread every week”, but for once the thread asking about guys in the community was a wild wide to read from start to finish.
Also hi I’m a guy.
Can I just make a dad joke real quick
“Hi I’m a guy, I’m Lexy”
Dad jokes are always welcome.
Oh my chocolate…the Male is here hello! I’m sorry I’m in a weird mood sup man I’m Chocolate but you can call me choco
As someone who grew up with a sister, I can tell you that I have made many mail/male puns in my lifetime. “Go get the mail.” “I’m right here.”
I personally go by Alvar, rather than The Male, but either one works. Hi.

Hmmmmm I know the dude in your pfp…was it from…ughhhhh I forgot!!!

Oh yeah Ive seen that story around a couple of times but I never read it.
Yeah I think that’s where he’s from.
It’s not that simple. There’s a whole process to finding out.
See, the first step to having the best dad jokes is to become a dad. This can be through biologically fathering (and also staying with; that part is very important) or adopting a child, but it can also be by becoming someone’s “dad friend”. It’s like a mom friend in the sense that you care deeply for your friends, but you’re emotionally clumsy and awkward so you just make puns all the time. Contrary to popular belief, people of any gender can be a dad friend. Once you have acquired dad status, there is a ritual. You must appear in front of the Elder Dads and answer their three riddles incorrectly. When you have completed these riddles and been properly ridiculed, you are granted the Khaki (or Plaid, in some cases) Cargo Shorts of Humor. These give you a +5 bonus to your joke-making ability and grant you access into the Dad Joke Tournament. This annual tournament pits dads against one another in a comedic battle. The last person standing who has received the most eyerolls and given the fewest at the end of three days is granted the Champion of Dad Jokes and must defend that title in the next year’s tournament in order to remain the best at dad jokes.
As a dad friend with no legal or biological children, my status in the Secret Society of Dads is shaky at best, but I intend to win this year’s tournament.

Damn
So just to be clear women without Dad status do not get the privilege of Dad jokes (lmao)
Anyone can make dad jokes, but you must acquire Dad status in order to be crowned champion. Women may also acquire this status through the aforementioned “dad friend” rule, or by their children referring to them as dad regardless of gender.
Do have any advice for people aspiring to be dad friends?
