Hope moon (one of episodes highest paid writers) earns approximately $1000-$2000 a few times monthly, however it ultimately depends on what she publishes. Therefore, small authors will not earn much at all… living off episode is practically impossible, due to the v low payments.

From what I have read authors in the payment program get around $1.5 for every 1000 reads

I dont know what’s allowed to be said but an author on here said that it’s around $1.50 per 1,000 reads…although this varies obviously…

My friend who is in the writing program gets over 50-100k reads a month with her story and over 10k gems a month and she gets paid 1k+ a month.

I’d consider not trust your friend in that matter because the prices here are different. As people said, it’s around 1.5 dollars per 1000 reads and 1.8 dollars per 1000 gems. With 100k reads and 10k gems your friend should have received around 160 dollars.
