This is a pretty simple tutorial but hopefully this helps incase some of you didn’t know what to do before! Now, have you ever wanted to upload a background as an overlay but you couldn’t? Chances are, the background isn’t in the right format or it’s too big!
Background to Overlay Conversion:
Download and save the background to your desktop. Your background’s format is called a “JPG.” When it comes to overlays, it has to be a PNG! The easiest way to change this is using a JPG to PNG converter.

Compressing an Overlay:
Depending on your background, you might get this when you try to upload it to your overlays.
To fix this, go to https://tinypng.com/ and compress your image. Then, upload it again. Now, you have your background converted into an overlay! Background overlays are helpful when you want to do “ghost” characters. See Dara’s thread for a tutorial --> How to "FADE" Characters
