How to create word overlays?

I’ve read many stories that use these kinds of overlays. So I guess you could call them word overlays since they have animations. I really wanted to do this for my story but I don’t know how. Can someone help me?

You can create designed words or sentences in png format by any logo maker app, then upload to your overlay section and code them just as any other overlays. It needs a bit work but it’s really worth and works really well.

I use this kind of animation. I uploaded every letter like overlays then I used them together to appear like a word or to show letter by letter.
