I’m struggling to do a recap for each li branch (female and male), the recap is basically the last scene of episode 2 but I have no clue how to code it into episode 3. Any help is greatly appreciated!

You just can copy past the last scene in the next chapter. They are still in the outfit they picked in ch2.
I have a tappable menu for this story, and the reader can decide to do a recap but since I decided to add two LIs in this I don’t know how I would go about coding the recap for the female and male branch.
I don’t want the recap to tie into the episode starting, I want them to be sent back to the menu after viewing the recap if you understand what I mean.

The scenes from last chapter are probably already divided into male and female? So that shouldn’t be a problem. Unless you have the whole chapter written for male and then again for femal LI. In that case you’ll do it like this:

#Your female LI scenes
}
