You know what, that’s a good question. I honestly don’t know. I never met a person with a Niqab and saw how they eat. I would think they pull open the bottom of their face cover and bring the food to their mouth from under. Like this:
But, you can’t do that with Episode soooo–I would say make a disclaimer or reader message saying “Pretend she is eating it from under the face cover.” or something.
I wish they gave us a mask were the bottom was up a bit.

also it looks weird in general using the mask as a niqab bc it goes over the hijab in the front and back

I think one of the things people forget is that not all muslims come from arabic countries. They can be from literally everwhere!
As a fellow muslim, people are always so shocked when I tell them I’m muslim. One of the first things they ask me is: “Aren’t you supposed to wear a head scarf?” I then tell them: “That’s something between God and I.”
Muslims come in all shapes, forms, ethinicities, etc. I’m glad this thread shed some light on that.

I hate it when people ask me that. So annoying.

OMG I love Diary of a Troublemaker too! Toriah’s friend, Meila Summers, has a story called “He Can’t Tame Me” and it also has a hijabi character in there and she’s my favorite character too! I love her personality!
After scrolling this topic, I realized there are so many Muslims in this community and I’m so happy about it. Glad I’m not alone 
Thanks for creating this because I wanted to add a character in my story that’s Muslim, but wanted to go about it in a respectable way. I’ve always imagined this character as a Muslim, and no they’re not a token character, that’s just how I’ve always perceived the character, but was cautious because I didn’t want anyone of the characters background to be offended and wanted to go about it the right way and like someone commented, google ain’t of much help, I know you suggested articles and write info, but I might comment a few outfits to get your opinion on it.

Yeah. Just because I am of Ethiopian-Jewish descent, it does not mean that I am not allowed to like other religions. It is pretty cool to know other people who are from different religions.
By the way, there are Muslims in Ethiopian (especially the somalis who live there)

I’m pakistani, dad from kirachi, mom from lahore. Being muslim is great, but my mom constanly is like “oh wow i’ve raised such awful girls that don’t wear a hijab” I mean I don’t want to wear one. I’m not embarrassed or anything i just don’t want to.
Also i love EID it’s so fun 
I didn’t go to the beginning celebration Eid this year. I went to the End one. I actually went to it last year and it was fun.
