How to have characters already on screen

hi can anyone help me i want my characters already on scene but in a different zone how do i do this?

@CHARACTER stands screen left/right/center

how do you do it with spot directing?

If you don’t add in the zone number, there’s a tendency that it might appear on that spot but in the default zone, which is zone 1
