You do it like this -
&pan to zone x in y
NARR
Text here

Be aware that the background will continue to pan after you’ve written your text, so if it’s just one line you should pan fairly quickly or if it’s a paragraph pan slowly e.g:

SHORT SENTENCE -

&pan to zone 3 in 2

NARR
Short sentence here.

LONG SENTENCE -

&pan to zone 3 in 15

NARR
Long paragraph.
Long paragraph.
Long paragraph.
Long paragraph.
