How to make a character appear behind a window thats part of an Episode background

Hello! I am using background EXT. WASHINGTON STREET - NIGHT and in zone 3 there is a building with a door where you can see inside and I want my character to be in there but I’m not sure if there’s a way to do that without using an overlay.

i don’t believe it’s possible to do that without using an overlay.
