How to make a character walk behind another character

I don’t know how to make a character walk behind another character…I m doing spot directing but my character is walking over another character instead of behind them

Are they entering the scene?
If they are-

@Apes

Entering characters ( @CHARACTER enters from left to screen right ) are always in front of everything (unless you move other characters or overlays to the layers)
If you using walks to spot command make sure to put your character in the layer you want by placing your character offscreen
@CHARACTER spot % X Y AND CHARACTER moves to layer -5 (offscreen)
@CHARACTER walks to spot % X Y in S

You should use layers
Here’s an example:
*this is just one way to do it, you can also put it in one line and so on

@CHARACTER moves to layer 1
@CHARACTER_2 moves to layer 2
@CHARACTER enters from side to screen position in T
&CHARACTER_2 enters from side to screen position in T
