How to make a flash of lightning appear in a story?

Hi there!! So, I’ve been searching for round about 5 minutes looking for an answer to this question, but I didn’t find one, so I thought I’d make a topic on the question; “How do I make a flash (like lightning) appear in a story?” None of the transitions have the look I’m going for as they’re all for opening and closing the scene or story. Thanks to anyone who can help!

Depends on what exactly you are looking for, do you want a whole screen type flash or just one area (ex. overlay)? :slight_smile:

Preferably a whole screen flash but quite quick.

I personally like:
@transition fade in white in .1

(Just change the .1 with any time, ex .2 if you want it to be longer)
You can change the color as well, or change the in with out, depending on which one you like more :slight_smile:
