how to make a character speak even though they are not in the scene?
I’m trying to make this story but I have this scene where I want a character to speak, even though they aren’t in the scene
Does someone know how to do this?
Yeah all you have to do is this
NARR (CHARACTERNAME)
and thats all
If you want normal speach bubble, you simply spot the character offscreen so he wil be in the scene but you will not see him
@CHARACTER stands offscreen left/right
or you can spot him with spotdirecting.
I’ve been sitting the character in zone 2 of a one-zone background, so he’s “in the scene” but you can’t see him, but Farah’s idea looks better haha.
Basically toss him anywhere that the readers can’t see him. Then you can move his speech bubble around to wherever you’d like.
Both works the same the offscreen command will also place him in next zone so spot directing might be sometimes more handy especially if you than pan to that zone to actually show the person. So it is no better worse.

It’s simple.
Just write:
NARRATOR (CHARACTERNAME)
And here add text.
