So in many stories these days we see lightning flash in the scenes and it just seems so realistic. They can be seen coming down and the effects in the sky, how do we do that? By uploading gifs and tricky coding or there is a simple way?
Hi, this thread will be of interest to you:
So for example, you create it:
&overlay LIGHTENING create
&overlay LIGHTENING shifts to -371 -349 in zone 1 in 0
&overlay LIGHTENING scales to 2.458 2.458 in zone 1 in 0
&overlay LIGHTENING to layer 5
&overlay LIGHTENING opacity 0 in 0
#of course you’d get different scales to and shifts to values. Then when you’re doing the lightning strikes, your best friend becomes opacity. Example:
&overlay LIGHTENING opacity 1 in 0.05 then overlay LIGHTENING opacity 0 in 0.05 then overlay LIGHTENING opacity 1 in 0.05 then overlay LIGHTENING opacity 1 in 0.05 then overlay LIGHTENING opacity 0 in 0.8 then overlay LIGHTENING opacity 0.1 in 0.8 loop INFINITE times
I have already seen this one that’s why I was thinking about gifs, but it is a great video, very helpful. Thanks for reminding me of it
It is very helpful thank you very much
