in my story the li has adhd and he takes adderall. heres a backstory, he lives with the mc as he got evicted because he used to live with cousin who never paid rent on time or he never paid for the rent. he becomes friends with the mc’s friend and she offers him a place to stay. he has a prescription however he misplaces the prescription and there’s a monthly inspection. the landlord sees his pills and asks if he has a prescription for them. he says yes but the landlord needs proof. the landlord gives him about fifteen minutes to search for his prescription and while searching for it, it was at an obvious spot (this spot is not visible to the landlord because hes not in the same place if that makes sense) however us people with adhd experience object permanence meaning that if we cant see it, it doesnt exist to us. as the fifteen minutes are up, the landlord calls the police and he is taken to prison. how can i make it more realistic? he released soon after when he calls the mc and tells him to look for the prescription and she finds and shows it to whoever is in charge of setting him free. also what should a prescription look like?
I think it would depend on the country that this is set in in order to make it look like a prescription from the respective country. I only know what prescriptions look like in Australia, but you can have a prescription sheet AND/OR a prescription sticker on the box itself with his name, doctor, price of medication, name of meds and how often they need to be taken.

RESEARCH! If you want to make scenes more realistic then research on it and don’t just look at one site and think “I think that’s enough information” because sometimes it can be false, gather up a ton of information and write it in a document or a notebook and that can get ideas flowing and make your story more realistic.
