How to put a character in front of a character?

So I have a guy hugging a girl when he walks to a certain spot and I can’t get him to be in front of the girl. He’s just awkwardly behind her.

@SARAH is cry_sob AND SARAH faces right
@JAY walks to spot 0.546 101 271 AND JAY is walk_neutral
@JAY starts hug_rear AND JAY faces right

You will need to have this code before they hug:
@BOY moves to layer 2
@GIRL moves to layer 1
#you can change the boy and girl names to your character’s names.
