HOW TO: Transitions

Hey! So I’m kind of new to episode and I’m struggling with my transitions.

I’m putting in a few backgrounds to the beginning of my chapters and it keeps doing the transition but for like 0.1 seconds it goes back to the previous photo. Could you please help out?

INT. CONTENTS1 - DAY

@pause for 3

@transition iris out black 2

INT. CONTENTS2 - DAY

@pause for 3

@transition shade down black 2

INT. BACKGROUND - DAY

@pause for 3

So it doesn’t go back between the first and second background but between the second and third, it shows the second bg for a short time then cuts to the third.

What am I doing wrong?

I recommend to use another transition like @transition fade out black 2
