How Would I Make A Pervious Bunch Of Choices Affect A Scene In My Story?

Help please.

You can name a choice to remember past choices

And after that at the scene that’s effected? Do I need more code?

Preivous Scene:

INT. CUTE BEDROOM GIRL - DAY
@follow CRYSTAL to screen center in zone 2 AND CRYSTAL is walk_sad_loop
&zoom on 326 200 to 246% in 1.5

@CRYSTAL faces right AND CRYSTAL is transition_stand_to_squat_neutral
@CRYSTAL spot 0.776 68 217 in zone 2 AND CRYSTAL faces right AND CRYSTAL is idle_sit_sad_loop

Hi girls!

NARRATOR (ALL)

Hey!
CRYSTAL (talk_awkward_loop)

I’m going to a party later.
CRYSTAL

Would either of you like to go with me?

if (suspect_ruby){

RUBY (talk_unsure)

Sorry, I’m busy.

}

elif (suspect_rosa){

ROSA (talk_unsure)

Me too…

}

else (suspect_abigial){

ABIGAIL (talk_unsure)
I am also.

}

@Blue.hair

Your using gains?

Idk how to code it properly.

Ive never worked with gains only naming choice but you can check out

It has a section for gains

I need one of them to say yes if Crystal didn’t suspect them

Try this for the last part:

if (suspect_ruby){

RUBY (talk_unsure)
Sorry, I’m busy.

if (suspect_rosa) {

ROSA (talk_unsure)
Me too…

if (suspect_abigail) {

ABIGAIL (talk_unsure)
I am also.

} else {

ABIGAIL (talk_neutral)
I’m not busy.

}} else {

ROSA (talk_neutral)
I’m not busy.

if (suspect_abigail) {

ABIGAIL (talk_unsure)
I am also.

} else {

ABIGAIL (talk_neutral)
I’m not busy.

}}} else {

RUBY (talk_neutral)
I’m not busy.

if (suspect_rosa) {

ROSA (talk_unsure)
Me too…

if (suspect_abigail) {

ABIGAIL (talk_unsure)
I am also.

} else {

ABIGAIL (talk_neutral)
I’m not busy.

}} else {

ROSA (talk_neutral)
I’m not busy.

if (suspect_abigail) {

ABIGAIL (talk_unsure)
I am also.

} else {

ABIGAIL (talk_neutral)
I’m not busy.

}

And what would I do for if they all said no/yes and Crystal showed up with all of them/her sister?

if (suspect_ruby){

if (suspect_rosa) {

if (suspect_abigail) {

#all are busy

} else {

#Ruby and Rosa are busy

}} else {

if (suspect_abigail) {

#Ruby and Abigail are busy

} else {

#Ruby is busy

}}} else {

if (suspect_rosa) {

if (suspect_abigail) {

#Rosa and Abigail are busy

} else {

#Rosa is busy

}} else {

if (suspect_abigail) {

#Abigail is busy

} else {

#none are busy

}

Where the hashtags are is where you would put what would happen in each scenario

You can also combine those two things

1 Like

Huh?

I’ll combine the two things for you so that it’s shorter.

It’s giving me an error

Here, I combined them:

if (suspect_ruby){

RUBY (talk_unsure)
Sorry, I’m busy.

if (suspect_rosa) {

ROSA (talk_unsure)
Me too…

if (suspect_abigail) {

ABIGAIL (talk_unsure)
I am also.

#all are busy

} else {

ABIGAIL (talk_neutral)
I’m not busy.

#Ruby and Rosa are busy

}} else {

ROSA (talk_neutral)
I’m not busy.

if (suspect_abigail) {

ABIGAIL (talk_unsure)
I am also.

#Ruby and Abigail are busy

} else {

ABIGAIL (talk_neutral)
I’m not busy.

#Ruby is busy

}}} else {

RUBY (talk_neutral)
I’m not busy.

if (suspect_rosa) {

ROSA (talk_unsure)
Me too…

if (suspect_abigail) {

ABIGAIL (talk_unsure)
I am also.

#Rosa and Abigail are busy

} else {

ABIGAIL (talk_neutral)
I’m not busy.

#Rosa is busy

}} else {

ROSA (talk_neutral)
I’m not busy.

if (suspect_abigail) {

ABIGAIL (talk_unsure)
I am also.

#Abigail is busy

} else {

ABIGAIL (talk_neutral)
I’m not busy.

#none are busy

}

Check if this works and if it doesn’t, what does it say the error is?

I don’t need them combined. It’s saying: unexpected ELSE: else

Try this then:

if (suspect_ruby){

RUBY (talk_unsure)
Sorry, I’m busy.

if (suspect_rosa) {

ROSA (talk_unsure)
Me too…

if (suspect_abigail) {

ABIGAIL (talk_unsure)
I am also.

#all are busy

} else {

ABIGAIL (talk_neutral)
I’m not busy.

#Ruby and Rosa are busy

}} else {

ROSA (talk_neutral)
I’m not busy.

if (suspect_abigail) {

ABIGAIL (talk_unsure)
I am also.

#Ruby and Abigail are busy

} else {

ABIGAIL (talk_neutral)
I’m not busy.

#Ruby is busy

}}} else {

RUBY (talk_neutral)
I’m not busy.

if (suspect_rosa) {

ROSA (talk_unsure)
Me too…

if (suspect_abigail) {

ABIGAIL (talk_unsure)
I am also.

#Rosa and Abigail are busy

} else {

ABIGAIL (talk_neutral)
I’m not busy.

#Rosa is busy

}} else {

ROSA (talk_neutral)
I’m not busy.

if (suspect_abigail) {

ABIGAIL (talk_unsure)
I am also.

#Abigail is busy

} else {

ABIGAIL (talk_neutral)
I’m not busy.

#none are busy

}}}

I think a few curly brackets were missing so I added them.

The first combination worked.

Ok, good.
