I have been sat here for 10 minutes trying to spot a character, and it REFUSES to stay where I asked it to stay.
Every time I’m trying to put him back in the correct position, it literally gives me a new code each time.
I read through my whole scene and there’s no other spot directing for him until later on in the scene so I have no idea why he keeps appearing in the corner when I’ve written for him to be in one specific spot.
Keep in mind, it literally gives me a new code every time I’m trying to put him back in position, it’s like Episode is purposely messing with me
If anyone could help I’d highly appreciate it, thank you!
This is where he appears:

This is where I want him to appear:

And here’s how my script looks:

(The character’s name is Grayson but I wanted him without a name tag so I made a replica of him called “GRAYSON REF”)

And just to add on, I know the spot code on my script doesn’t match the one I need for the screenshot of him in the right position, this was just a NEW code Episode had given me for the apparent right position, no matter what spot I’m giving him he keeps going in the corner
its the space between the name, remove it and try it out
I thought that, but I’ve coded this character spot wise before and there was no issue until now, so I doubt it was the name :((
Have you tried refreshing your browser and clicking on update script? Sometimes when I’m doing a lot of work it lags and I have to refresh everything.
Also, is GREYSON REF used at all prior to that first spot directing? Can you send a screenshot of what you have coded above line 3910?
I have a character with a space in his name and I’ve never had any issues with that.
I know there are sometimes glitches with the become command. Have you tried spotting him after that command?

Just refreshed it and nothings changed, here’s my code, this scene is the first time in the whole story GRAYSON REF comes in

Yup, I’ve spotted him many times in this scene and it was perfectly fine but I wanted to add a little extra bit at the beginning (which is that current code) and now it’s giving me this issue, I’ve never had this spotting issue before
Wow, I’m pretty confused. Is him not being in the right spot the ONLY issue you’re having with this scene?
Yeah, everyone else is in the perfect position except him
Provided no one else figures this out awhile, give me a second to hop on my computer and type your codes in. I’ll see if it gives me any errors.
In the meantime, cutting that scene from your script (then pasting it into a word document), saving and then moving your script back in is worth a shot, as well, if you wanna give that a try

Thank you so much this means a lot to me! I’m currently taking a break from frustration so I’ll definitely try that trick after I’ve eaten if nothing else works
Seriously thank you for helping :))
No problem! Sometimes a little step away can help clear your head, and come back with a new perspective

Okay, I’m also having the same issue as you, so I’m sure this is a coding issue, not a glitch. I’m gonna switch some of the coding around to see if I can get him in the right spot.
I got him to stay in the correct spot! Is this where you want all of the characters to be standing in, in zone 1? (Grayson, bad1 and bad2). I think it’s right based off your screenshots but I can’t tell exactly since it’s pretty dark.
Edit again: Grayson is the man in the white shirt in my photo
That’s perfect! May I ask what I did wrong? I was almost sure that I had gotten it spot on
Sorry for the bad picture lol but if you change the coding to this, it should work for you too. Make sure you use the & sign as well, where I have them. After the zoom is where you’ll want to add all your overlays and outfit changes.
AIDEN = GRAYSON REF
ASHER = BAD1
ATLAS = BAD2
I think the issue may have been the becomes command along with the outfit change, based on the fact that he’s staying in the right spot now
