This was because I simply created a thread with my succinct and collected thoughts on the matter of switching from forums to discord, justifying why I would like people to sign the petition. This was within its own thread, not even spamming or disturbing any chats. They have made it clear; they don’t care about our concerns.
I got a warning too and they deleted the link from both channels I posted it in.

you gotta be careful with discord they will literally warn you for ANYTHING and if they hate u enough you’ll get banned it’s really stupid

Definitely feels like they’re trying to control the narrative. I’m pretty tired of how the dev team has been treating the community. We deserve better.

I keep saying that we should do a community walkout so episode actually has to be forced to listen to us

This is heartbreaking tbh. 
I hope someone creates another app or website we can use to somehow interact with the community, because personally I don’t feel the community energy in discord. It’s a straight up insult to every author on this app.

For a minute I thought you were saying that we should all show up outside of the Pocket Gems headquarters… which is an idea that has been floating around in my head for quite some time.

That would be funny if we did that. I googled their headquarters out of curiosity. Are we sure their decision is because of money issues?

They also have a location in New York, which is a notoriously expensive place to live (as is San Fransisco).
I have a proposal: How about they move somewhere less expensive? It will be sad to shut down the old buildings, but I’m sure that a new place will become just as beloved as the old ones. We can even help them move their things! Some things will sadly have to be let go, but it would ultimately be a decision that could help bring new people to the community.
What’s that? They don’t like being told to move away and drop everything? What a silly little thing to be worried with! They just need to get used to it. It will be a lovely new chapter!
Wait a minute, they are still upset? Now where have I heard that before…
(In all seriousness, this probably wouldn’t work as it could put many people who work for them out of a job, but it isn’t a terrible idea and it could save them some money going forward… anyways, please don’t look too far into this post, it is just meant to illustrate a point.)
