Last night I partied and had fun but when it struck midnight my mom and her friends went out leaving me all alone and while they were out having fun I was spending my first hour of 2021 crying because they neglected me!
I hate being 15, I just want to be 18 for god’s sake!
Why? You’re excited to be an adult, and pay bills and have even more responsibilities than you already have now?
Yes, I enjoy that stuff I hate being a teen.
It only gets harder when you’re older, lol. And have you experienced “adulting” first hand? If you haven’t, you can’t really know if you’ll enjoy it.
Don’t be in a hurry to grow up. Enjoy each and every moment of your life. God bless you.
I’m sorry about that, however, even our parents need some time to themselves, although leaving you alone wasn’t the greatest option and I don’t know if this is something that occurs often. I don’t know the law where you’re from, but a minor cannot be left alone at that age, overnight.
Anyways, I will say that being 18 and even older isn’t much fun as you get hit with adult responsibilities and other hardships. Please enjoy your youth as much as you can because you’re only going to have ‘free time’ and being able to properly spend time with your mates at this age, since as soon as you hit 20 and up, you’re not going to have a lot of time to party like teenagers. I was like you, wanting to be 18 and all grown up, and I am 20 and hating the adult life and the new responsibilities. It just gets harder from there.

@ImAnAlien is right
I’m sorry what happened to you, that really sucks
I’m 15 too, and honnestly it’s just a really awkward age
that really sucks ): im sorry you were alone on new years. maybe next year when things are safer you could have some friends over to have fun with in case your mom decides to go out
Sure you have more freedom at 18 but when you hit 18 there are so many expectations for you, the pressure of having to make serious life changing decisions at that age isn’t very pleasant. I think it’s best you enjoy your mid-teens while you can.
And if you’re so dead set on being 18, spend that remaining 3 years looking at different colleges, career paths, places to live so when the time comes you’ll have some idea of how you’ll go about making these decisions. Trust me, a lot of people wish they had more time to figure things out.
Also I’m really sorry about what happened on New Years, hope you’re okay
I know everyone will tell you to wait and be young and they’re 100% right. I’m 18 and have gone through a lot in my life unfortunately and it’s not fun. Being 18 comes with the good and the bad. You may enjoy some things but you’re always going to need your parents. You’ll have plenty of years to go out and party and you also don’t need to worry much about partying during a pandemic and while Being 15. You have one for some many different experiences. I know it feels hard and I may not know your life but trust me when I say, life comes with good and bad as you get older.
Ayyy I’m fifteen too! And I hope it gets better for you, a part of me just wants to be 18 to move out so I don’t have to hear my parents yelling about how much they hate eachother all the time and that they are still together for me and my siblings. It sucks. It can only get better tho, i promise. Let’s make fifteen an awesome year!
My love, what are you complaining about? I don’t mean to sound harsh but you said that you partied until 12am.
I am 30 years old, do you know what my curfew is? My curfew is 6pm. I live with strict annoying parents.Once it’s gets dark that’s my curfew.
I DON’T get to go to parties. Not that I’m complaining anymore because I don’t have the thirst for that. You probably have more freedom than what I have.
I’m actually glad in a way because I am small in stature. A very tiny person, who looks like 18 and men out there will take advantage of me in parties. I also behave like if I am 7.
But you STILL got to go to a party. Count your blessings, my hun. There are people who are worst off than you. Don’t complain for something petty like that. They are concerned for your safety. They are right because a 15 year old shouldn’t be out there by herself so late in the night even though she’s with friends. You are also a minor and is still under control by your parents for your safety according the law.
When you go to college/ university that is where you WILL get all of your freedom. So my advice is just look forward to that and enjoy being 15.
Hey you’re totally like me. When i was 15 i dislike it when i need my parents permission to go anywhere and i also need them to drive me to where i want to go everytime.
But rn im happy with my life. I can go anywhere i like and do anything that i want. Don’t mind that i have to buy my own car, pay the bills, support my parents and so much more stuffs to plan out and decide, its really worth it.
Don’t worry @JasminaH 3 more years and u’ll turn 18! ![]()
Your mom should bring you with her and not leave you alone ![]()
This is Corona. Your mother sounds irresponsible af too! Why go out during a PANDEMIC?!
Honestly, this is the best time lol, stop wanting the years to pass, and instead make these ones count, because they will be the most enjoyable, the most free. I know adulthood seems fun, my siblings are adults, and they have a lot of weight on their shoulders.
What’s the hurry to grow up?
Enjoy being young while you can, when I was 15, all I wanted was to be an adult, and do whatever I wanted etc… Now I’m an adult I want to be young again, I’m 33, I have adult things I have to do, while I also have more freedom to do what I want when I want, I rarely go out and party and all that I don’t care for that life… your mum shouldn’t have left you alone on new years, she should have taken your feelings into consideration… Being an adult isn’t what it’s all cracked up to be, so take advantage of this age you are while you can, as you’ll be 18 before you know it don’t let these years pass you by…
im 18 and i spent the first hour of 2021 alone too lol
Enjoy your teenage years while you’re still a teenager and remember, there’s absolutely no rush to grow up. Being an adult means paying taxes, going to work every day, having serious responsibilities and constant stress on your shoulders. It has it upsides but the downside severely outweighs it imo. I’m only in college but I wish I could go back to high school when my only stress was some useless boy drama.
You’ll get to 18 eventually, but for now enjoy probably the most care-free time of your life
I just turned 18 and everyone expects me to know everything about adulthood. It’s really stressful I’m going to college soon and I’m not used to being alone without my family. But I wanted to be 18 so bad too but now I want t go back lol. So just enjoy being under 15 while you can.
