I was just reading a community story and when it came it came to the support the author option, I saw that
had was 3 options and at the 3rd option, it was 35 gems!? I honestly thought it was greedy. Is this even allowed on Episode? Or is it breaking the rules!?

Yes as of the recent changes yes it is allowed. but yeah that’s definitely greedy

how is it locked, if its a gem choice it can still be picked, did you use label because they still would pay, did you just write it in the choice , I am honestly confused by this

I would’ve reported it lol. It’s clearly misusing gem choices. If it was 35 for bonuses I wouldn’t mind if content is worth but for support, yeah it’s greedy af

Also just saying are you guys having this issue where your phone font is the same as the choice font in episode?
Personally I don’t think it’s greedy since it’s a choice for those that have a lot more gems or really like the author’s content. There’s also more options to choose from apart from 35 gems since you said it was the 3rd option and there is in most cases, always a free option. 
And given how important gems have become, especially with the upcoming changes to the writer’s payment criteria – it’s understandable.

That can’t be reported. It’s a choice to support author. Author has a right to select the amount of gems and reader has a right to choose not to support the author.
Well, there is an official guidelines stating how many gems to be allocated on what sorts of choices and it’s also stated to report any sort of misuse found as well. I don’t understand what’s wrong in that. Also, if one has a loyal fan base, they don’t really need to add 35 gems as support the author… Loyal readers would even click choices worth 5 gems every chapter if they are willing (I know I do that myself)
You said that it was a support the author choice, meaning it likely had cheaper options than 35 gems. The author isn’t implementing gem choices in a way that effects the plot, it’s just an option for people who may have more gems. Episode wouldn’t have 35 gem-choices available to authors if they didn’t want them used.

When you select a GEM choice from which you get nothing, that you have to report. 
But that doesn’t go for SUPPORT author.

Well, I have a support the author choice where one of the choices is 35 gems. I put that in there in case some people have lots of gems. I don’t see how it’s greedy? If you can’t pay gems, don’t.
We all know that stories are trending based on how many gems are purchased in the story.
As for the guidelines, I don’t think that episode has restrictions on gem choices, do they? Or are you not allowed to have a 35 gems support the author option? I know they have suggestions on how to price gem choices, but I don’t think they’re requirements… correct me if I’m wrong.
