I have a few ideas, but I want this gang story to be different from the rest. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to make it unique and not a cliche?

Could show someone working their way up in the gang I’ve only seen ones with gang leaders as main or next in line.
That’s a good idea I might use that one!
An ex gang member has kids and the kid joins the gang.
This idea is good too!
