I managed to get help with my advanced choices. But now I'm getting this error

How do I fix this error? I did as the person said who helped me with my advanced choices. But now I’m getting this error which I don’t know how to fix.

It’s exactly what it said. You’re missing the closing bracket.
You should format it like:

choice
“Ask to take a phone call.”{

Input your text and animations here.

}“Go make a phone call.”{

Input your text and animations here.

}

Also… there’s no need to put “choice” twice in the same sequence… otherwise they’ll display as one choice at a time, instead of two.

I’m trying to do Nested Choices not the normal choices.

Can you elaborate on what you mean by that?!

What is a nested choice, I’ve never heard of that?

It’s basically if you click on a choice it gives you like 3 other choices to choose from after the first choice you clicked. Thats what I’m trying to do.

So a choice within a choice?! The bracket thing still applies, bare in mind.

But, it’d be like:

NARRATOR
Insert question here.

choice
"Choice1"{

NARRATOR
Insert other question, here.

choice
“AnswerToSubChoice1”{

Insert animations and dialogue here.

}“AnswerToSubChoice2”{

Insert animations and dialogue here.

“AnswerToSubChoice3”{

Insert animations and dialogue here.

}
}“Choice2”{

Insert animations and dialogue [or additional question] here. If it’s an additional question with more answers, then repeat the steps shown above for Choice1!

}

Ok thanks :heart:.

I did this but now its giving me this error.

Yes, because you didn’t do it like how I showed you.

You can’t have a choice without having text before it, text as in dialogue… like a question.

Ok I managed to get some of them right. But now its still giving me that error with others when they are following dialogue.

This is honestly a mess.

Yes, because on line 199 you have a choice, but there’s no text above the word “choice”.

You can’t have a choice, with the word “choice” present, without dialogue above it.

Ok there is clearly 2 sets of dialogue here but its still giving me the error.

Line 207 says “choice” again, without any dialogue above it.

I keep saying this.

You need to have dialogue above the word choice… and by dialogue I mean like:

NARRATOR
[Enter Text Here]

choice

OR

CHARACTER NAME
[Enter Text Here]

choice

Ok at this point I’m just getting frustrated I want to create a good story. But I keep getting an error and everytime I fix one I just get another. I feel like I should just stick to writing stories instead of trying to make animations.

On line 244 BEFORE the choice, you need to put a }

So line 244 should be like:

}“Don’t take the phone call.”{

But then it does this.

Every open bracket needs a closing one… I said this a few messages above.

Yes but I don’t know where to put it. Because if I put it at the end of the choice before the next choice it gives me the error about the dialogue. If I put it at the end of the dialogue it gives me the error about the brackets not having a matching.

I know that you said that but I’m still having problems.
