I have started this story before, and we have chatted on Instagram about it. I read 6 chapters in all back then, and I did lose interest after that.
I had be kept it in my favourites though, but just never continued reading it as yet.
Your grammar is good and the directing too.
After starting c1 again…
This is my opinion.
CC template needs updating to new hair styles.
Needs to start with some narration or a visual introduction to what the story is, the timeline, what the faction /institute is… needs some actual history before the story starts.
But it just jumps straight in, with Mc and Seth and no idea what’s going on… then everyone chatting and no idea what reference it is to the story who anyone is or what they are…
They’re all quite childish interactions too and it’s all quite hectic paced with many changing scenes.
It is all a bit confusing.
This may be some reasons why people stopped reading.
However, that being said, your story has over 60k reads, so it’s doing well.

i did change things, before it was an introduction like you said but some people said it would be better to just show and not tell and also show the MC at the begining so i switched it up

Sadly, what a few people like and suggested may not be what the majority like.
It’s difficult, you can never please everyone.
But if your reader count isn’t growing, maybe worth making changes again x
