I’m not sure then, but some iPhones, especially the edge versions, have glass up till the edge, I would then look for a case with something like
They might be a bit more expensive, but it will save you a lot of broken screens and money in the end.
(They have a thicker edge, kinda like a bumper)
And take a rubber case, not a hardcase, because hardcases don’t protect half as well as rubber ones
