At the start of the story the MC is 17 years old, meaning she’s still in high school. By the time that they get together she’ll be 18. Her goal is mainly to become an author, ever since she was little her dad would tell her short stories he’d written and that’s what sparked her interest in writing. When she was around 13 she started writing her own stories. Her dad left when she was 16, leaving her only with his half finished novel that he’d never shown her. She wants to inspire people and she wants to be happy.
Originally I had thought she was gonna believe that finishing his story would make her happy, she thought it would bring him back. At the midpoint she’s supposed to realize that she’s not going to bring him back, but she does have one source of happiness in her life, which is the LI.
