Okay, so I seen in some episode stories where there’s a background and there writing like if the character goes to new York there would be writing on the screen in different fonts, idk how to explain it.

You have to use overlays. Create a text png, and upload it to the art catalog ^^ then write something like this in your script:
(TEXTOVERLAY is the name of the overlay in this example)
&overlay TEXTOVERLAY create
&overlay TEXTOVERLAY opacity 1 in 0
