Exactly!! There is always one different character, but they are never focused on! They’re just the “weird nerd” or summin! Literally! And can I please address the cliques and endless high school stereotypes

A very frequent stereotype is the high school one…you know, “here are the mean girls whose parents own a mansion and the leader is dating my high school crush” and the nerds who “are loners and keep to themselves” and also the sudden transformation from bookworm nerd (which is much better than being a mean female who just insults their classmates) to IT girl

Yess, I was just about to post that… almost everytime there’s a mean girls clique they’re so clichee! They have absolutely no personality or reasoning for being so engaged in ruining the MC’s life, like do they have no hobbies at all?

Yep. At my high school, the girls who are “popular” aren’t mean, rich, or they act like b-tches to everyone else. They are actually nice (well some of them) and smart and basically just like a regular person with a personality. THERE IS NO QUEEN BEE AT OUR SCHOOL I REPEAT ANY THING THAT IS SEEN IN MOVIES WITH HIGH SCHOOL THERE IS NONE OF THE MOOLA AT OUR SCHOOL.

Here’s one that always annoys me: the best friend who has absolutely zero personality besides “let’s go party! I don’t care if this is an objectively bad idea, because I’m forcing you to do it anyway!” Like honestly, why would I want to be friends with this person? Lol

@Waluigi I agree! I have seen countless stories where the best friend just wants to party and when the MC has a problem they’re like, “Drink your problems away…and meet other hot guys at clubs!”
Like, honey that literally doesn’t solve a single thing!
