I dislike teacher-student reationships, large age gap, and when the MC is a virgin. It’s just rly cringey
Yeah, I find the teacher-student relationships weird. (But I did like The Teacher) lmaoo
Thank you! I’ll let you know xxx
Lmaooo
I’d love to read your story when it comes out! I am a HUGE fan of parody content

For mafia story I hate it when mc choose to act so stupid when she’s in danger, like jogging alone, or being in situation that have too much chance for the enemy to kidnap her
For school life story i hate it when author describe mc being kind of anti social and then mc being the first one who confronting love interest and insulting them… and maybe when mc just moved in town and the love interests in love with mc instantly when mc isn’t so stand out yet
Yeah same here! especially the mafia one, like it is obvious that there is danger so you have to be careful or you are just being plain stupid by risking your life
Aw thank you! I’ll let you know when it does
I like to see slow burn and character development and stories where it’s not just about the MC and her problems why not her friends or parents why can’t the mc help out and give advice to them it’s always about the MC.
Yes, I totally understand! I like slow burn too. At the end it’s really satisfying! Thank you for your input :))
Your welcome
Most asians are portrayed as braniacs, nerds or they’re super good at math or technology (can’t forget the colored hair streak and bob).
Most black characters are into sports or sassy.
Most blonde characters are rich, popular, dumb or mean. (Sometimes a combination of all) It would be cool to see a smart/elegant/nice popular girl for once.
*This isn’t a stereotype but why does the girl always end up with the bad boy in the end and not the other love interest. Also, why do most love stories have a happy ending… why not an average or sad ending?
OMG YES THESE ARE ALL SO TRUEEE nfsiheafjabfjke
It’s scary how accurate you are. Thanks for replying to thread!! I can agree with you about the Asian thing for sure. In my town, most people are Asian and so that stereotype is so bad around here… Ugh, stereotypes suck !!
I absolutely HATE the gay best friend.
If you want to put it as lgtb representation, can’t he be another sexuality? Why not ace/aro/bi/omni/pan/anto/poly/etc?
And if you want to make him gay, then please for the love of god, DO NOT use him as a prop and just to dress the MC. DON’T. Make scenes where the MC is the gay friend’s wingman/wingwoman/wingperson and goes to see if X person is interested in their friend, not (or at least just) scenes where the gay friend knows about fashion.
When it comes to high school stories:
- The MC basically has no personality. Even if they’re a self-insert, the MC can still have their own interesting backstory or personality. For example, in my story, my MC struggles with PTSD and also has her own backstory. And most of the time the MC is either nerdy and quiet.
- I don’t like the typical love triangle where two girls, usually the MC and the Mean Girl, fight over the main LI. It’s worse if the Mean Girl just exists to cause problems or be an obstacle for the MC. Like y’all can do better than that. For example, in my story, instead of the MC and the Mean Girl fighting over the popular guy LI, it’s the Mean Girl and the popular guy LI fighting over the MC because, surprise the Mean Girl is a possible LI option for LGBT players and she’s gay af.
- When it comes to the Bad Boy, I don’t like when the Bad Boy is generally a horrible person but his attitude is justified because of some like dark backstory.
- I also don’t like racial stereotypes and lgbt stereotypes. So many MCs in episode stories have the effeminate, gay guy best friend or they have the token black best girl friend. If you’re going to add minorities into your stories, don’t lean into stereotypes and don’t add them in just for the sake of diversity.
Omg I know right! One of my best friends are gay and they always get asked, “Are you good a fashion?” and he’s always like not necessarily. It’s a really bad stereotype that should addressed more. Thanks for bringing it up! x
These are all so true! I like how you are approaching stereotypes in your story and choosing to twist them, that’s really good! Is your story out? I would love to read it!
The bad boy one is so, so bad in some stories! (basically in every mafia story)
Here’s my story! http://episodeinteractive.com/s/6070748037578752
Also, yeah, it’s a trope that’s so overused in mafia stories! There’s also the fact that the mafia is so romanticized in episode stories but that’s another thing.
Yeah, so true! I’ll go check it out once I’m done reading some other stories (I have a lot that are really close to being finished lol)
I a rude and average lgbt person. I suck at fashion. I love clothes, but I cannot put an outfit together. My (male) straight friend is who chooses my clothes for special occasions and stuff. People always assume he’s gay (his a iced coffee kinda person) and that I am straight. And it’s not that way, and I think that this stereotype is just that, a stereotype. It isn’t reflecting reality…
