I need help with my coding problem

Hey, I have a problem with my coding. So I was trying to do that thing where people change between 2 eye colours but I’m not sure how to so I had a try at this;

@CHARACTER changes eyesColor into Blue Deep
@pause for 0
@CHARACTER changes eyesColor into Red
@pause for 0
@CHARACTER changes eyesColor into Blue Deep
@pause for 0
@CHARACTER changes eyesColor into Red
@pause for 0
@CHARACTER changes eyesColor into Blue Deep
DIALOG

I tried different types of pauses like 0.1, 0.2 but I don’t know how to make it like change when theres dialog like I’ve seen in other stories. Does anyone know how to do this? If you don’t understand, I’ll try to explain better;

So a vampire story it could be, and sometimes the author makes the character change between eyes fast so normal eye colour than red eye colour with dialog during it. I hope this explains a bit better if you didn’t understand.

So I have done it quite few times, as I have a vampire story… So I use pause of either a second or less…

Use @pause for a beat

Or if u want less than that try @pause for 0.3
@pause for 0.5

U can change accordingly

okay, ill try that

But how do I make it so the eyes part happen while theres dialog? this is the script rn

@CHARACTER changes eyesColor into Blue Deep
@pause for 0.3
@CHARACTER changes eyesColor into Red
@pause for 0.3
@CHARACTER changes eyesColor into Blue Deep
@pause for 0.3
@CHARACTER changes eyesColor into Red
@pause for 0.3
@CHARACTER changes eyesColor into Blue Deep
CHARACTER (talk_flirt_charming)
DIALOG

You need to upload the speech bubble as an overlay then set the opacity to 1 during the scene.

Example:
&CHARACTER is talk_flirt_charming AND overlay DIALOG opacity 1 in 0
@CHARACTER changes eyesColor into Blue Deep
@pause for 0.3
@CHARACTER changes eyesColor into Red
@pause for 0.3
@CHARACTER changes eyesColor into Blue Deep
@pause for 0.3
@CHARACTER changes eyesColor into Red
@pause for 0.3
@CHARACTER changes eyesColor into Blue Deep

thank you!

An easier way of doing this it using the & symbol instead of the @ symbol. But for this to work you have to put everything on one line like this:

&CHARACTER changes eyesColor into Blue Deep then pause for 0.3 then CHARACTER changes eyesColor into Red

CHARACTER (animation)
Dialogue

However many time you want it to happen use ‘then’ to continue.

I just remembered this may not work because it’s changing a body part

It works for other things such as putting two animations into one speech bubble.

Hope this helps
sorry if it confuses you
