I need help with zooming

I meant that Sofia was in zone 1 and starts going to zone 3 where William is. And I want it to zoom in on William from bottom to top. I don’t want them seeing Sofia enter. I want it to zoom in on his bottom before you see anything else. But when i write that down it kind of glides from left bottom to Williams bottom

Try adding a @pause for 1 there (in bold)

Or:

&pan to zone 3 in 3

@SOFIA walks to spot 1.280 50 -14 in zone 3 in 3

If this is start of your scene, than you forgot to spott Soffia before she starts to walk

also I replayed what you have and I do not see zoom gliding from left - I see pan coming from left to zone 3 and then you have the zoom I guess this is the reason of what you describe.

So if I understand right you want to see the zone 3 in zoom without previously seeing it in full

Than you cant pan to zone 3

The zooming works but the camera is still gliding from Sofia to William.

I didn’t really understand. Do you mean that I will have to zoom in first

you can move to another zone with command CUT or PAN

While cut goes to the zone directly, pan moves the camera in time from one to another.

what you do is that you with pan move the camera from zone 1 to zone 3 - so we must see zone 3 at the end.

And only after this you zoom on his legs.

So question is why do you have the pan till zone 3?

Do you want the pan to fallow her walking to them?

Oh now I understand, It doesn’t have to pan. I tried doing @cut also. But It still shows the zone 3 and then zoom in on his legs

than use the cut with & - it will than happen with the zoom together like this:

&cut to zone 3
@zoom on 960 0 to 367% in 0

While doing the do I do @SOFIA stands x y % so that when I do @zoom reset she stands in zone 3?

I’m not on a computer so I can’t test anything :joy: But I recommend to look over this: 🌙 HOW TO: Use Pans 🌙

If you’re having her walk while you pan, you need to place her in another zone first (be in that zone) and then have her walk to the other zone. The thread I linked should help.

&cut to zone 3 = @cut to zone 3

&SOFIA spot % X Y in zone 3

Dunno if this helps but I would do something like this:

BACKGROUND…

@SOFIA stands screen center in zone 1 AND SOFIA faces right
@SPENCER spot 1.280 198 -1 in zone 3 AND SPENCER faces right
@SPENCER moves to layer 3
@WILLIAM spot 1.325 275 26 in zone 3
@WILLIAM moves to layer 2
@WILLIAM is text_phone_neutral_loop AND SPENCER is talk_gossip

&pan to zone 2 in 2
@SOFIA walks to spot 1.280 150 0 in zone 2 in 2
@SOFIA is think_rubchin
@pause for 1
&SOFIA spot 1.280 50 -14 in zone 3
&cut to zone 3
@zoom on 960 0 to 367% in 0
@pause for a beat
@zoom on 957 486 to 367% in 10
@pause for a beat
@zoom reset
@SOFIA is idle_awkward_uneasy_loop

It worked! Thank you so much<3
Do you want me to put in credit for you?

I have & and it works. Should I change it?
