For your first time you did great! 
it just takes practice it took me 3 years for my art to be finally decent and in my personal opinion pretty good 
but don’t let the time discourage you I would stop drawing and than draw again months later. But some tips is just patience and always be open to new ways of drawing everyone has there own way of drawing Just keep practicing and figuring out art hope that helps:) also no hate
