Thank you for your honesty! I really respect trans people and that’s why I ask for your opinions. The thing is that she wants to change everything about herself and become a new person, gender dysphoria is just a part of that transformation, that’s why it doesn’t affect the plot if she is trans or not because she will become a new person anyways.
My original idea was making her trans but I reconsider it because as you say, I’m a cis woman and it’s a difficult topic. So I will wait for other answers.
