I’m trying to come up with quick unique transition ideas, but I can’t seem to come up with any. Any ideas? If you need some context it takes place in 1920s south california (San Bernardino to be more specific) Something that involves overlays and movement and all that, something different yk?

You could slowly zoom out of the frame to a tree or something. Or to a black object so that you can fade the next scene out of black, if you know what I mean 
Otherwise you could use that ‘new kind’ of changing scenes that some authors are using. The one where the current and next scene backgrounds are blurred together. I believe it was used in How I Met Your Mother lol. Or I think Elzbiet Zaleski has a tutorial on that on her IG.
