Right, so you see in some cartoons how when a character falls, they have like stars or something spinning over their head? could i direct something like that with overlays?
Maybe if you move the overlay

i made a test on photoshop, and this is the result, is something like this?

i think the way to do this, is uploading both stars overlays, then position the layers in the head and animate them appearing and disappearing alternately, using opacity.
You could also have a circle of stars as the overlay and then rotate them at a point if you want the stars to rotate around, then that might work.
