We would need to see more of your script to see the issue.
But FYI, the use of the if/elif/else is meant to be used at a later time in your story to remember that choice. It’s not meant to be used immediately after the choice. Just put the outcome inside the choice. No need to use the if/elif/else literally right after the choice.

Oh okay I get what you mean now! I think I fixed the issue since I removed the if/elif/else and it works perfectly now!
