I could even do something where your love is chosen for you(either by your parents or technology)and the main character ends up falling for someone she’s not supposed to(herrr female best friend)and when she tells her parents they of course don’t approve, so they have to rebel against whatever it is holding them back in order to get who they TRULY love, not some dope who was picked for them.
