"if/gain" command issue

The MC of my story has to decide if he slaps his abusive stepfather who hit her or not. I named the choice (getslap). I have tried everything I could think of, but the part after }else{ still gets displayed, even if it should be only seen if the player chooses to not to slap the father.

I would really, really appreciate any help because I spent almost two days trying to figure out what could be the issue, but no avail.
