Hey guys I was just wondering if mature content stories can still be featured because I want to enter the AW contest and it says it has to be pg 13 so can anyone help me ans this questin?
Episode official stories have all kinds of mature and inappropriate content… so it’s hard to say, because their guidelines often seem to contradict things they put in their own stories… so it seems the guidelines are for community writer and not episode writers…
yeah, just make sure you have a warning splash to let your readers know. Make sure you follow the guidelines.
yea the whole reason i wanted to ask is because of the warning splash that I was creating and just thought of the guidlines
That is true. That is why I was asking.
Just make sure its nothing worse than what you would see in a marvel movie. they are pg 13
if you have any more questions, feel free to ask, and you can also check with @Tyler if you want to.
Great! But if i put the splash they wont immediatly disqualify my story? Would they?
Thank you so much!
np they wont. Your splash should come first.
BUT there are also community writers that have episode featured stories that I find also stick to the mature content that was in their community version of their now featured story… so as long as the mature content isn’t like pornographic lol… it seems like you should be fine, and yeah have a splash warning of course : )
Thank you! It will!!
Thank you!
Nah, there are other contest entry winners who’s stories have splash warnings for mature subject matter and strong language.
As long as it abides by the guidelines, then it should be fine but in general, stories on Episode do need to be PG13.
I personally have a story (Maternal Instincts) that I feel is more 15+ but that’s just my opinion, really. Nothing in it broke guidelines and it won a contest.
I guess it depends what kind of mature content you’re talking about?
Great!! Thanks again!
You’re welcome!
Just normal flirting etc… If you know what i mean
With sexual content- just make sure it abides by the guidelines.
You should be fine.
If something is a minor violation of the guidelines, the team sometimes get the authors to make the changes and then they still end up being a contest winner.
okay thank you so much!!
What about strong language?
