Fun fact: There are no muscles in your fingers. (besides the tiny ones that trigger hair raising, and even then, those barely work in modern humans) All the muscles to control your fingers are in your hands and arms, and they pull on the tendons that run into your fingers.
So your fingers are basically marionettes.
